About Pete Williams

Pete has been playing drums since childhood and professionally for the past 14 years.  Educated at The Academy of Contemporary Music, he achieved distinctions in all subjects at the Higher Diploma in Music Performance.  Pete has toured the UK and Europe providing music at high profile events and venues, as well as playing in numerous studio sessions, and performing with signed acts.

Alongside performing, Pete has been teaching drums to all ages and abilities.  He is passionate about this side of his work and enjoys it as much as his students do.  As well as private one to one drum lessons he also teaches at schools and sixth forms colleges in the Brighton and Hove area as well as teaching group drumming classes for MAS (Brighton and Hove Music Arts and Study Support) aimed at talented young people. In addition to this he has taken part in coaching music performance at international workshop events, giving insight into the music industry  and passing on his skills and experience.  Most recently he travelled to King Richard School in Cyprus to work with children of service men and women.

Whatever your ability, Pete’s relaxed and friendly style will bring out the best in you and your drumming.  He believes that learning to play the drums should be fun and enjoyable and the satisfaction gained from becoming a proficient musician cannot be beaten.  Play drums.  Play music.
